Malnutrition Burden

Estimated SAM and GAM caseload and burden data from surveys and estimates, separate from programme admissions.

Overview

The Malnutrition Burden module presents population-level estimates of SAM and GAM caseloads derived from nutrition surveys (e.g., SMART surveys) rather than programme admissions. It provides an estimate of the true prevalence and burden of acute malnutrition in the population.

Combined Burden View

Navigate to Periodic Analysis → Malnutrition to access the combined SAM and GAM burden view, which shows estimated caseloads alongside programme coverage.

SAM and GAM Burden Pages

Separate pages under Malnutrition SAM Burden and Malnutrition GAM Burden allow detailed exploration of each indicator independently.
