About IFSNP

An introduction to the IGAD Food Security, Nutrition & Resilience Information Portal — what it is, who it serves, and the 8 member countries covered.

What is IFSNP?

The IGAD Food Security, Nutrition & Resilience Information Portal (IFSNP) is an integrated web-based platform designed to monitor and visualise food security, nutrition, climate, economic and humanitarian indicators across the 8 IGAD member countries: Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda.

The portal aggregates data from multiple international sources — including WFP, UNHCR, IOM, FAO, and climate services — and presents them through interactive maps, charts, and tables to support evidence-based decision-making for food security and humanitarian response in the Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes region.

Who Is It For?

  • Analysts and researchers monitoring food security trends in the IGAD region.
  • Policy makers and government officials needing timely indicator summaries.
  • Humanitarian coordinators tracking displacement, malnutrition, and prices.
  • Data managers responsible for uploading and maintaining datasets.
